Camera and hand tracking

SliceItNow uses your device’s front camera to track your hands and body movement during play.

All camera processing happens on your device in real time. Camera images and video are never recorded, stored or sent to us or anyone else.

No account, no personal information

You do not need to sign up or give us your name, email address or phone number to use the app.

When you first open SliceItNow, Firebase Authentication (provided by Google) creates an anonymous account identifier so your progress can be saved. This identifier is random and is not linked to your identity.

With each request to our servers the app also sends technical details: a device identifier that Apple generates for our apps only (identifierForVendor, not the Advertising Identifier), app version, language and time zone. We use these to keep your progress, set your daily schedule and prevent abuse. The device identifier changes if you delete and reinstall the app.

We use Firebase App Check to confirm that requests come from the genuine SliceItNow app. It relies on Apple’s App Attest and does not identify you.

Data we store

To save your progress, our servers store gameplay data linked to your anonymous identifier: XP and level, streaks, workout results (reps, active calories estimated by the app, scores and combos), program progress and unlocked blades.

This data is used only to run the app’s features, such as your stats, Today card and level-ups. It is not used for advertising and is not sold or shared with data brokers.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes your payment; we never receive your payment card details, name or Apple ID.

We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription status. RevenueCat receives purchase receipts and your anonymous app identifier only.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, we receive a diagnostic report through Sentry containing technical details such as device model, iOS version, app version and the error. Reports do not include camera data or personal information, and are used only to fix bugs.

Analytics, no tracking or advertising

SliceItNow contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs.

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to count a small set of key in-app events, such as finishing a workout or starting a subscription, so we can understand how the app is used and improve it. These events are linked only to random app identifiers, never to your name, email address or other personal information, and are not used for advertising.

We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not track you as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

Health information

Calorie and rep counts are estimates calculated by the app.

If you turn on Save to Health, SliceItNow writes your workouts (duration and active energy) to Apple Health with your permission. Apple Health data stays on your device. We never send it to our servers, share it or use it for advertising. You can turn this off at any time in the app or in the iOS Health app.

Contacting us

If you send a message through our website contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you provide and use them only to reply to you.

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that the message comes from a person. reCAPTCHA collects technical information such as your IP address and browser details, may set cookies, and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Data retention and deletion

Gameplay data is kept while your anonymous account is active. You can delete your progress at any time with Reset progress in Settings in the app, or by contacting us. Deleting the app may make your anonymous progress unrecoverable.

Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up, then deleted.

Children

SliceItNow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete data about you. Because the app does not ask for your name, email address or other contact details, most requests can be completed with Reset progress in the app. Contact us for anything else.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
